The Bay Area is home to more than 50 shuttle programs that operate 150+ routes to employers, schools, medical facilities, senior centers and other key destinations. The shuttles are run by cities, businesses, colleges/universities, transit agencies and other organizations. Annual shuttle ridership totals nearly 8 million riders, making shuttles (if aggregated) the 8th largest transit system in the region.
