Elmwood Consulting works with public agencies, the private sector and community organizations to improve the health and well-being of Bay Area residents. Elmwood's current projects are primarily focused on developing local solutions for global warming. Recent clients include the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency, Rail~Volution and the San Mateo City/County Association of Governments.

Founded by Bruce Riordan in 1998, Elmwood features a customer-focused process in which project participants develop not only solutions, but partnerships that ensure long-term, sustainable results. Elmwood Consulting is based in Berkeley's Elmwood District.
