CLIMATE BAY AREA
Climate Bay Area
The JPC and the Bay Area Council Economic Institute have created Climate Bay Area, a coordinating “meeting place” for the hundreds of Bay Area organizations that are now developing climate action programs. Climate Bay Area will function as an information clearinghouse and as a forum for discussion/action on the top climate barriers and opportunities in the region.
Climate Bay Area will primarily work as an electronic network, linking staff/climate experts from key Bay Area climate stakeholders across the nine counties. Quarterly in-person meetings will feature a 25+ person Working Group representing various sectors—transportation, green building, renewable energy, waste management, water—but will be open to all interested parties.
